Tuesday Plan

Looking at the advanced Trial Sheet for Tuesday YPOM is booked in for her first four bend trial.

She is running along side another qualifier and a bitch returning from a sasonal break.

Avenue Delivers

Avenue Guide landed his third win in the UK in his 9th start on the syndicate night social at Monmore last night. 16 of us were seated to watch Avenue lead round the first corner despite not coming away as fast as he can.

He showed cracking back straight back to forge clear. Despite a late rattle of the six dog he stayed on well to land the win.

A cracking night was had by all, I'll look to book the next one as soon as possible to give everyone the most notice.

Saturday Social

All members going to social on Saturday as advised to arrive at Monmore for 7.00pm. There will be sixteen of us dining together. Sadly the Prince has hurt his toe and won't be able to run however lets hope Avenue Guide might give us a shout, sadly his does not seem on top of his game at the moment.

Trial

Yourplaceormine recorded an improved 15.83(+20) on Tuesday in the trials session.

She should be ready for a trial over 4 bends now. I will speak to Martin later in the week.

Trial

Yourplaceormine recorded 16.23(+20) in his first trial on Tuesday at Monmore. I will speak to Martin about whether she wants another sprint before she goes over 4 bends.

Round Up

A good weekend in Dublin wound up well when bumping in o Abi Titmus at the airport. Always an odd on winner with me!

Avenue Guide blasted out last Thursday and recorded a rapid sectional time that compared well to the top class dogs running. We may try him in a sprint.

Sadly Lisas Invader ran a shocker on Friday but was lame after and has ripped a nail so will be off for a few week.

My good friend Paul McClusky in Northern Ireland has confirmed Belle is in pup to Boherduff Light which is very pleasing. He also has two serious young pups on his books. By the sounds of their times at Lifford they could be heading straight to Open Race trainers.

Your Place Latest

I saw Martin on Thursday at the track and he reports Cheryl has now settled very well at the kennels. I'll speak to him this week to arrange her first trial.

Her brother Takeafoolsadvice landed his third race on the bounce this weekend at Tralee.

Dublin Bound

I'm counting the days down to Friday as I will be making my annual pilgrimage to Shelbourne Park, Dublin to witness to Paddy Power Derby. I haven't been taking as much notice as I normally do with the action we have had over here. It’s probably the best nights racing of the year.

Avenue Guide has been dropped a grade on Thursday after his unfair double grade hike.

Westmead Hawk Pups

As we all know Westmead Hawk was probably the best racing greyhound ever, but how will his pups turn out ? Whilst at the Iceman Kennels this morning I had the pleasure to spend some time with four of the Hawks offspring. The litter were simply bouncing and they looked a super size and full of spirit. I know Paddy in Kerry has mated Im only Sal (mother of Yourplaceormine) to him so fingers crossed.

Pirate Heading to Ireland

We have decided to send ZigZag Pirate to Ireland to Kerryman legend Batty Heaphy. Batty has been given to job to re-educate the Pirate and try and unlock his potential.

The Pirate got in holiday mood this morning when he had a swim in Lance's swimming pool. The Iceman kennels must surely now be the best in the country. The dogs have everything they could ever want which is backed up by a bif team of experienced staff.
